What is Industrial Filter Bags?

How Does Baghouse Filter Work?
| In the process of baghouse filtering production, the dust collector filter bag capture the polluted flue gas and dust particles produced by industrial production. The dust fume enters the filter bag chamber from the air-inlet pipe and begins the filtering process. Two stages in the filtration working process: The first, capture the dust particles on the surface of the dust collector filter bags. The second, further filter the dust particles through the dust layer formed on the surface of the dust filter bags. After the two-step dust filtration process, the filter bag will be shrunk or blown, or beaten to release the dust layer, and discharge and the clean air. 1). Pulse-jet baghouse filter bag
Pulse-jet baghouse filter is the most commonly used type. The dust is trapped on the outside of the filter bags, and clean air exits through the bag inner. The filter bag is blown up to remove off the dust layer when the pulse blows. It has good dust removal performance, higher airflow handling capacity to get higher filtration speed.
Pulse-jet bag filter should use thick, wear-resistant, and strong tensile filter fabrics, such as chemical fiber needled felt or heavy-duty woven filter cloth.
2). Reverse air filter bags
Reverse air filter bags collect the dust on the inner of the filter bags, the dust layer will be discharged to the dust bucket after the bag shaking by reversed air.
Reverse air collectors are typically deployed on large air volume industries, like Cement, Coal Power Plant, Steel, etc.
The air-reverse baghouse filter bag should use a soft, dimensionally stable, and good abrasion resistance filter fabric
3). Shaker filter bags
Shaker filter bags have a simple constructure, shake the hunger filter bags instead of reverse air to remove the dust inner the filter bags.
For the shaker baghouse filter bag, the thin filter media with smooth and soft texture should be used, which is conducive to the transmission of vibration waves and forms sufficient vibrating on the bag surface for dust removal.
According to the Baghouse Filter Bag Shape
1). Round Baghouse Filter Bags
most baghouse filters use round filter bags. The circular filter bag bears uniform force, easy frame support, and connection, require small power for dust removal, convenient for inspection and maintenance.
2). Flat filter bags
Also called envelope filter bags, usually in the width of 0.5 ~ 1.5m, length of 1 ~ 2m, thickness, and filter bag spacing of 25 ~ 50mm. The flat baghouse filter has a compact structure, could get a larger filter area in the same space, generally could save 20% ~ 40% of space. However, the flat bag has a complex structure and manufacturing requirements, furthermore, the envelope filter bags are easily blocked by dust.
